Not your average gardener
At Garden Girl, I believe that a garden is a personal space, and I work closely with each client to ensure their vision comes to life. From our first meeting, I take the time to listen, understand your needs, and learn what you truly want from your garden. Whether it’s a peaceful retreat, a vibrant display of colour, or a low-maintenance haven, I collaborate every step of the way, offering expert advice and a thoughtful, tailored approach. My goal is always to create a garden that not only exceeds expectations but becomes a place they’re proud of and adore.

MEET CAROLINE BROOME
Welcome to Garden Girl! I’m Caroline, an award-winning gardener with a passion for transforming every garden into a space that truly flourishes. For over a decade, I’ve had the pleasure of working with wonderful clients, all of whom have trusted me with their beloved gardens. I specialise in creating beautiful, thriving borders, no matter how challenging the space may seem, and believe in using plants that will earn their keep, requiring minimal fuss while delivering maximum beauty. Whether I’m consulting on garden design, revitalising a forgotten corner, or sharing gardening wisdom through illustrated talks, I pour my love for all things gardening into each project.
For me, a garden is so much more than a plot of land; it’s a sanctuary, a creative canvas, and a place to be enjoyed all year round. I can’t wait to help you bring your vision to life!
“Gardens are living, breathing works of art that evolve with the seasons. My joy is in helping people create spaces that not only look beautiful but bring a sense of peace and connection to nature. For me, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a garden come to life” - Caroline

My story
My love for gardening blossomed later in life, though perhaps it was always waiting for me. In my thirties, I faced chronic back pain, anxiety, and a sense of being disconnected from my own wellbeing. My GP suggested Pilates, and that single class changed everything, it gave me the strength and confidence I’d been missing. From Pilates, I moved on to yoga, and soon my back pain was gone, replaced by a newfound energy and a desire to be outside, moving, and creating. That’s when I fell head over heels for gardening.
What began as a hobby quickly grew into something much more. Gardening gave me a sense of peace, joy, and purpose, and I realised that creating and tending to beautiful, living spaces was what I was meant to do. Today, Garden Girl is my way of paying it forward, sharing the healing power of nature and the beauty of a well-loved garden with each client. Whether I’m designing a new border, refreshing an existing space, or simply sharing a chat about plants, I’m grateful every day to do what I love.
Garden Crafted With Care
Gardening has always been my passion, but it wasn’t until I was made redundant, 14 years ago, that I realised it was time to turn that love into a profession. After earning my RHS General Certificate, I decided to specialise in border maintenance, focusing on herbaceous perennials and shrubs, leaving the lawns and hedges to the maintenance companies. Living in North West London, I soon became involved with the local horticultural community, and won The London Gardens Society Best Small Back Garden three years running. As my business has grown, I’ve built lasting relationships with clients who trust me with their beloved gardens, many of whom are no longer able to tend to them themselves. Together, we create gardens they’re proud of, full of life and colour.
I believe in planting where a plant naturally thrives, and I’m passionate about creating gardens that support wildlife and reduce the need for chemicals. Whether it’s transforming a forgotten corner into a woodland oasis or designing a vibrant border, my goal is always to bring my clients' vision to life, creating spaces that are not just beautiful, but filled with joy.
